"When we think of the 80's Michigan punk scene, we can obviously name a famous fanzine and label from the city of Lansing, or some classic hardcore acts like NEGATIVE APPROACH, THE FIX or MEATMEN. But let's give attention to a less often mentioned band that doesn't make it less important: THE LATIN DOGS.
Haling from the city of Springfield, THE LATIN DOGS have a solid name in the deeper US punk references with their very rare and quiet obscure 6-song EP from 1982. The recordings on this LP deliver some great trashy garage punk with a faster rhythm than usually heard at the time. We were speechless when we first heard about the existence of an unreleased studio session by THE LATIN DOGS.
And even if the sound quality of the original recording can't compete with some studio sessions, listening to this lost 1982 session which contains many great unreleased songs excited us so much that it decided us to officially release it on vinyl for the sake of people who will enjoy discovering this awesome piece of US punk from the early 80's."
