Council Records Archives No. 1

Hailing from Bay City & Saginaw, and later moving as a band to Grand Rapids, bev.clone left a mark on both the Michigan and larger Midwest hardcore scenes. Along with contemporaries such as Constatine Sankathi and Current, bev.clone helped blaze a trail for several generations of hardcore music. Members went on to play in bands such as Agna Moraine's Autobiography, Bombs Lullabye, Mainspring, Tristeza, My Own Pine Box, Anaset, Our Space In Time, and The Sea, The Sea. The music remains vital, urgent, and necessary.

Tracks 1-3 originally released on the self-released, self-titled 7" in 1995. Tracks 4-5 originally appeared on the bev.clone/Constatine Sankathi split 7" released on Anima in 1995. Track 6 originally released on the "Follow N' Believe (A Food Not Bombs Benefit Compilation) CD on Element Records in 1996. 7 originally released on "The 26th" 7" compilation Released on Council Records in 1995. 8-22 were previously unreleased in any physical format. Tracks 10-22 are from the Take No Prisoners Radio Show (1994) are also presented as a limited lathe cut 12" available on Beginners (bevclone.bandcamp.com).
